About the Studio Residency Program

Apply to be a founding Member of our new Brave New Spaces Studio — a creative hub for event professionals, vendors, and industry creatives to collaborate, connect, and grow your business and community in the heart of San Francisco.

Our Goals

Activate the studio as an event lab & connected vendor community — collaborative, joy-filled, and intimate.
Create space for honest thought leadership, vulnerable reflection, and pushing boundaries.
Support Resident Creatives & extended community to host experiences that reflect their values and diverse audiences.

  • Flexible studio space with lots of natural light that can be customized and easily branded with moveable walls
  • In House A/V (TV, speaker system, mics, mixer)
  • Onsite Color Printer
  • Flexible lounge, rest, and creative brainstorming space
  • Kitchenette with shared fridge, kitchen sink, utility sink, microwave, coffee maker, hot water, and event serving supplies
  • Easy in-house event production and rentals like tables, chairs, catering service, bar service, permitting, decor, and more!
  • Brandable moveable walls to create unique branding opportunities + prep space behind
  • Phone Booth
  • 1 Bathroom upstairs & 2 Bathrooms downstairs

WHAT CAN I USE THE SPACE FOR?

Here are some ways Resident Creatives can use the space:

  • Hosting client meetings in our open studio or private conference room

  • Content creation or photo shoots (with amazing natural light!)

  • Co-working or working between events

  • Receiving mail for your business

  • Staging space pre- or post-event (with prior confirmation)

  • Storage (available for an additional fee)

  • Hosting private events with your community, friends, or family

  • Printing or office needs while on the go in SF

The Studio Residency program is designed for established and emerging event professionals & industry creatives such as:

  • Creative entrepreneurs building community through events
  • Photographers & Videographers

  • Event Planners & Coordinators
  • Established business owners seeking a San Francisco business address
  • DJs & Live Performers
  • Florists & Event Designers
  • Stylists & Set Designers
  • Copywriters, Brand Strategists & Content Creators
  • DEI Trainers, Speakers & Cultural Facilitators
If you’re looking for a space to meet with clients, host events, establish an SF business presence, or grow your visibility — this residency is for you.

Founding Resident Creative Perks

Application-based | Limited to 30 individuals or businesses

SPACE ACCESS

  • 24/7 keycard access to the studio

  • Use the space for photoshoots, content shoots, or small meetups

  • Host up to (2) complimentary private events per year ($1800 value)*

  • Discounted rental rates for additional events, meetings, or theater use

  • Discounted rental of the private conference room for client meetings

  • Optional storage space rental (additional fee)

*Event dates must align with the building calendar and do not include day-of costs such as Venue Manager, Security, or other vendors.

BUSINESS SUPPORT

  • Use of our San Francisco business address for mail and local grant applications

  • Quarterly Resident Creative Business Lab – A peer-to-peer support day featuring group coaching and resource sharing

VISIBILITY & COMMUNITY

  • Listing on our Preferred Vendor List shared with all event renters

  • Features in Brave New Spaces marketing, newsletters, and social media

  • First access to internal event gigs, vendor RFPs, and paid opportunities

  • Invitations to curated community and brand showcase events

*Rental rates do not include mandatory Studio Manager fee, event rentals needed, or Security for larger events. 

*Date scheduling is dependent on the building calendar, and there are some blackout dates that cannot be booked (i.e. Saturday nights)
